I haven't read every comic in the world so someone tell me why sabertooth is in this picture?!
jenn624  [Jul 01, 2006 at 03:58 AM]
its from a card set, I think they needed someone to fill that lower left hand corner, Sabertooth won the coin toss or something I guess

in the 90's sabretooth joined an xmen team for a while...there was this "blue" team and then the "gold" team which had all the other popular xmen characters not seen here...

(anymore, once but not anymore). Remy
NStar  [Mar 01, 2007 at 04:43 PM]
In the 90's Sabertooth did not join the X-men, however, he was around the mansion as he was imprisoned there and played a major role in the "Adjectiveless" X-Men book, which featured the Blue Team pictured here. The strange this is that Wolverine WAS on that team so I don't know why they didn't put him on this picture. Also, Jubliee was not officially on either team. BUT - get ready to eat that hat, Remy. Sabertooth is now a member of Rouge's team of X-Men featured in the Adjectiveless book.

Actually, he played a big part in the Phalanx Covenant working as an unoffical member of the X-MEN during the time NStar is talking about. He was originally going to join the Generation X team, along with Sauron but it got changed and the only old school X-characters to be part of the book were Emma Frost, Banshee, and Jubliee. He was a big part of the X-Team for what were some awesome stories.

I am a X Men fanatic. I want to see a 3d wall of Psylocke

During the Phalanx Covenant the team was Banshee, White Queen, Jubilee, and Sabretooth. After that Sabretooth joined X-Factor, ballpark issue 120. That team consisted of Polaris, Shard, Wild Child, Mystique, Sabretooth, and Forge. I have these issues, but Wikipedia will confirm this. This would have been early 90's, as XFactor 100 came out in 93 or 94. Same with the Phalanx Covenant... right before Sabretooth joined XFactor.

You'll probably find this is when Logan was out of action after X-men # 25 and Wolverine # 75. Creed was at the mansion shortly after this being rehabilitated. Marvel botched that storyline.
